I've been
bookmarking helpful web sites, gathering tips I've
scribbled down on post-its, dragging informative emails
into a "Business Help" folder in my Outlook and
generally making mental notes of things shared with me
that made a difference. My hope was that someday I
could assemble this information and help someone else
who feels passionate about a product or service that
they want to get online, but don't know where to start
and/or have a huge budget to outsource all the work.
I fell in love with
creating web sites; the creative side of design and
graphics and the analytical side of html programming.
One thing lead to another and I became a sponge doing my
best to soak up anything and everything related to web
site design, online marketing, search engine
optimization, and all things internet.
I'm completely
self-taught. I am not an expert nor do I pretend to
be.
I've belonged to
many email groups over the years and am a firm
believer in networking. There's so much to be
learned by the experiences of others and I've found
email groups a great way to pick up invaluable
information and advice from people who have "been there"
and "done that". I've met people over the years
via these email groups that I KNOW I will be friends
with forever even if I never meet them in person.
For being such a gynormous, and sometimes hard to
wrap-your-brain-around concept... the World Wide Web can
be quite personal allowing you to make helpful and
meaningful connections. Value them.
Some would say I'm
always going in 100 directions at once, and I guess
that's a fairly accurate assessment. I have
created and maintain my own web
sites as well as web sites
for others, I'm a single Mom with two busy kids, I'm
a volunteer treasurer for my son's little league, I'm an
independent accounting contractor and an admitted
Facebook addict (yes, I have a farm!). But I still feel
like there's so much I still want to do, learn and
share. I guess that's a hazard of the internet;
there's SO much data out there coming at you from every
direction, you could never absorb it all... but I still
want to. (grin)
I'm a real person
with real experiences and I genuinely want to be
able to help others establish their web presence.
I'm pretty sure the internet is here to stay! (grin)
There's a lot of
free information here on how to get your dreams
online and your business launched. And if you need help
with some/all of the steps and processes, I will do some
hand-holding all the way up to doing it all, and at a
very reasonable price.
Beyond the
packages and the free
information shared, if you have any questions don't
hesitate to ask. Be patient though... you'll be in
there with customers from my
retail site, online daters from my
background check site, fellow members on the little
league board, moms and dads from my parenting site, my
accounting clients... oh, and my kids! I will try
to get back with you ASAP!
